Since **1 August 2026** the minimum insurable income table starts at **EUR 620.20** and rises by qualification group, and the maximum monthly insurable income is **EUR 2,300**. The minimum wage has been **EUR 620.20** since 1 January 2026 and is frozen for the rest of the year. The principle in the article still holds: the floor depends on your occupation group and sector, not on the minimum wage alone. As of January 1, 2025, the minimum social security thresholds (MSS) in Bulgaria have been updated in line with the annual adjustments across different sectors and professions. These thresholds are used to calculate social security contributions for both employers and employees.
